We’re a Disabled-led organisation delivering inclusive community services in Barnet, North West London, and influencing national change through our campaigns and partnerships.
As a Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisation (DDPO), most of our staff and all of our board have lived experience of disability.
Alongside our disability-focused work, we also run local services used by everyone - including a capacity‑building partnership for the voluntary sector, two libraries, a Healthwatch service, and a range of other community projects.
Since 2024, we’ve also led the national Campaign for Disability Justice, calling for Opportunity, Security and Respect for all Disabled people, whether in work or not.
This combination of Disabled‑led design embedded in mainstream settings is what sets us apart. It shows that when Disabled people lead, services become more equitable, accessible and effective for both Disabled and non‑Disabled people.
Our work is rooted in the Social Model of Disability, which recognises that the biggest barriers in life are often other people’s assumptions about what we can or can’t do, and the way services are designed and run.
Our lived experience doesn’t just shape the local services we deliver - it drives how we influence wider systems and national conversations about disability.
By listening locally, acting more widely and speaking up nationally, we make sure real experiences lead to real change at every level.
