Do the jobs we post need to be remote?

Do the jobs we post need to be remote?

No. Although many of our jobseekers will be looking for remote-based opportunities, many are not and this is not a requirement for advertising on Patchwork Hub. If your role is not a remote position, simply state that the job is not remote-based in the Job Locations field on the Post a Job page.

Here, you can indicate whether the job is one of four types:

  • Fully remote - a job where the employee can work from home for all working hours.
  • Remote-based - a ‘hybrid’ job where the employee can work from home, but may be required to visit the office or site locations at least some of the time.
  • Onsite or Office-based - a job where the employee is required to work in person.
  • Remote and/or Onsite - a job where working patterns are flexible to the candidate's preferences and needs.

Although the roles you offer may not be fully remote, you may want to consider offering flexible working arrangements. This means that an employee could work from home several times a week instead of being in the office 5 days a week.

It’s important to consider that for highly skilled candidates with disabilities or unique personal circumstances, flexibility can help to break down barriers they may be facing at work.
