The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is Britain’s national regulator for workplace health and safety. We are dedicated to protecting people and places and helping everyone lead safer and healthier lives.
The Change Team sits within our Operational Services Division and is comprised of three key pillars:
These pillars contain professional practitioners who are deployed to projects and programmes within HSE. Each pillar is led by a Head of Change and Practice Lead. The Data and Management information Analyst (DMIA) role will work alongside other professionals, e.g. other Analysts, Change Practitioners, Business Architects, from across the three pillars, to provide expert analytics and support to the delivery of HSE transformation and operational excellence.
Working Pattern
Part time working hours are available for this role. We can accept part time applicants who can commit to working a minimum of 30 hours per week
Travel
Travel to other offices for training, meetings and projects may be required on an ad-hoc basis. These may, on occasion, necessitate overnight stays.
NB Dependant on business need this role may be extended or become permanent.
You will work within multidisciplinary teams to support the delivery of the various organisational benefits and enhancements. You will be responsible for supporting work across digital and transformation projects to articulate business and user requirements, design and implement new services, processes, organisational structures and ways of working. You will also provide continuous improvement support to HSE’s operations.

Sift Information
The sift is due to take place during week commencing 8th of June 2026 when you will be assessed on your Personal Statement and CV.
In the event of a high volume of applications, an initial sift will be conducted on your Personal Statement against the lead criterion “Demonstrable experience translating business issues into high quality data and MI analysis output that drive insight and decision-making.”
Should you pass the benchmark for the Lead Criterion, you will then progress to be assessed on your full Personal Statement and CV against the essential skills and criteria.
Interview Information
The interviews will consist of a 2 stage process.
1st stage: If you are successful at the sift, you will be invited to a first stage interview, these are due to take place week commencing 22nd June 2026 where you will be assessed against the technical skills detailed within the job advert. Please see below for Technical Skills:

If you are successful at first stage interviews you will be invited to second stage interview, there are due to take place week commencing 6th of July 2026 where you will be assessed against the Behaviours listed in the advert.
